Things to know before booking

Guides and Languages Available

  • All tours are led exclusively by authorized guides from 4 Madonne Caseificio dell'Emilia, who will accompany visitors throughout the entire experience.
  • Our guides are specially trained in Parmigiano Reggiano and can suggest other local experiences.
  • Guided tours are always available in Italian and English.
  • For tours in languages other than Italian and English, special rates apply.

Fees and Conditions

  • A guided tour with tasting lasts about 1 hour.
  • The standard tour costs €20.00 per person.
  • The standard tasting includes 4 ages of Parmigiano Reggiano PDO, a sample of ricotta, tosone, and Parmigiano Reggiano spread on bread, paired with balsamic vinegar and/or honey and/or jams and/or preserves. Wine and water are also included.
  • When booking, please indicate any food intolerances or allergies.
  • Children aged 3 to 10 pay €10.00 less than the adult fee. A standard tasting for children includes, upon request, non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Children under 3 enter for free and receive a BASIC tasting (2 ages of Parmigiano Reggiano + water).
  • Groups of more than 30 people will have the BASIC tasting (2 ages of Parmigiano Reggiano + water) at €12.00 per person.
  • Purchases made at the shop are not included in the tour fee.
  • The tour does not include visits to other facilities. However, if you wish to continue your food and wine experience at other local businesses (balsamic vinegar producers, wineries, salami makers, cooking classes, etc.), our Tourist Office will be happy to help.

Booking Requirements

  • Tours are available every day of the week by appointment only.
  • Book directly on our website.
  • Groups and Tour Operators can send their requests via email to [email protected]at least 1 month before the desired tour date.
  • Parmigiano Reggiano is made only in the morning. Afternoon tours will not include the cheese-making process but will feature an explanation from the guide, supported by an explanatory video.
  • Tour details or bookings are not handled via Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or WhatsApp.

Behavioural Guidelines

  • Hygiene and Animals: Tours take place in a food production environment with strict hygiene standards. All visitors must adhere to cleanliness and hygiene rules. Animals of any size are not allowed.
  • Restrictions: Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited inside the facility. Eating and drinking are only allowed in designated areas.
  • Minors must be supervised by responsible adults at all times to ensure their safety and prevent dangerous situations.

By Car:

From the A22 Brenner Motorway, we are less than 2 km from the Campogalliano exit:

  • Take the Campogalliano exit.
  • Continue on Strada Provinciale SP10 towards Lesignana.
  • Follow Strada Lesignana to number 130.

Our parking lot offers ample space for cars, buses, camper vans, and taxis, with an electric vehicle charging station available for visitors.
