Our cheese factory is a farmers’ cooperative, based on the following principles:
- One person, one vote: regardless the capital share they own, shareholders are entitled to vote for one head only at the assembly.
- Participation: Cooperative’s directors are its shareholders. The Board of Directors must be formed with a majority of shareholders.
- If the company winds up, shareholders cannot share assets or sell the company as a whole.
Being part of a cooperative means working together for everyone’s benefit!
