Over the last 21 years, 4 Madonne Caseificio dell’Emilia has grown a lot thanks to several acquisitions. It is now one of the largest cheese factories in the area of Modena.
During an interview Andrea Nascimbeni, our President, said:
“Joining energies together is always positive, especially in this sector. 13 years ago we got started with Cooperativa Solarese and then it turned into 4 Madonne. I understood that acquisitions bring benefits to shareholders and enterprises. This is why after taking a factory in San Luca di Medolla, we acquired another one in Arceto. The decision was unanimously made. Now that we have grown stronger we can cut costs down and solve problems og milk supply”.
We currently produce Parmigiano Reggiano in 4 locations across the areas of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
The cheese factory in Lesignana is the cooperative’s main site. After the earthquake, it was fully restored, with a larger annexed store. Due to new power supplies from renewable sources (PV and condensate recovery system), the whole plant is now more environmentally friendly.
In addition to Parmigiano Reggiano the store offers in-house made butter, ricotta, and many other traditional food products.
