At Caseificio 4 Madonne, in addition to Parmigiano Reggiano, our biggest pride, we also make butter and ricotta, with premium quality milk supplied by our dairy cows.
Butter is home-made processed according to local traditions. Our butter is 100% natural and made with fresh cream, free from colourings and preservatives.
Caseificio 4 Madonne branded butter takes its delicate taste from the cream therein, which is skimmed from milk used to make our Parmigiano Reggiano.
The evening milk that will be processed into Parmigiano Reggiano sits in special, large vats (“affioratori”) overnight. In the morning the emerged fatty cream is collected and churned (or beaten).Butter that results thereafter is moulded and packaged in pans and made ready for sale in our stores.
Butter abounds with fats (about 82%) and this is why it is often overlooked. However a totally butter-free diet is not the solution, especially when the option is genuine butter made by 4 Madonne Caseificio dell’Emilia.
Butter has got ancient origins and keeps milk’s proprieties intact. With a low melting point at 30°C, fats in it are easy to digest and be absorbed, so every time you need “ready energies” to do sports, for example, butter is perfect for you!
Also, butter contains vitamins A and D essential for sight system and mineral provision to bones and teeth, vitamin E, primary antioxidant, vitamin K, crucial for blood coagulation.
